Our Mission
To provide technology transfer expertise and management to connect innovative research with commercial partners, in support of Jefferson’s mission to educate healthcare professionals and discover knowledge.
The Office of Technology Transfer and Business Development (OTT) is a business unit of Thomas Jefferson University that manages the intellectual property assets of Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) and their affiliates through marketing and licensing technologies and know-how, aligning and partnering Jefferson’s expertise and knowledge with industry, managing biological Material Transfer Agreements (MTA), managing non-clinical trial-related Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA), collecting and distributing license income, implementing license agreements, and monitoring licensee commercialization activities.
