A Post-Master's Certificate option is available in all nurse practitioner specialty areas. In addition, a minor or Post-Master's Certificate is available in Nursing Education.

Post-Master's Degree Nurse Practitioner Certification (18-credit curriculum)
Post-Master's Degree Nursing Informatics Certification (21-credit curriculum)
Post-Master's Degree Certification In Nursing Education (12-credit curriculum)

Post-Master's Admission Requirements

  • Transcripts from each undergraduate and graduate institution attended
  • A minimum GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) earned in the MSN program
  • Two references: one professional, one academic
  • An essay addressing professional goals (not more than 1,000 words)
  • CV or resume
  • Competitive performance on the GRE or MAT if the cumulative GPA from the BSN is less than 3.2. Applicants whose undergraduate GPA is 3.2 or below must present evidence of one of the following:
    • Competitive scores on the GRE, GRE Writing Examination, or MAT or
    • A grade of B or better in two core graduate nursing courses taken at TJU as a non-degree student
  • A current copy of your national or state health profession's license
  • Demonstration of English Language Proficiency
  • Criminal Background Check/Child Abuse Clearance
  • Fingerprinting and Drug Testing
  • A personal interview, when requested
