Office of Research Administration
Faculty and staff who direct sponsored projects under Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) auspices have an important public, as well as personal responsibility to conduct and manage those projects carefully. The Office of Research Administration is intended to assist with the fulfillment of that responsibility.
Office of Human Research
The Office of Human Research provides administrative infrastructure and support for the following research programs and committees: Division of Human Subjects Protection (IRBs); Division of Clinical Trials Support; Research Biosafety Program (including the select agents program); Institutional Biosafety Committee; and the Volunteer Program.
Office of Animal Resources
It is the policy of Thomas Jefferson University to conduct animal research in accordance with high ethical standards and to provide a quality animal care and use program which meets these standards. The Office of Animal Resources oversees all animal research protocols within the university.
Office of Technology Transfer
The Office of Technology Transfer was instituted to protect faculty inventions against unauthorized third-party use; facilitate the transfer of University technologies into public uses and generate a financial return for the University, Inventors, and the Public; establish interactions between faculty and industry and generate industrial support for ongoing projects; and to contribute to local economic development through the utilization of new technologies.
