David Hoang, a 2nd year Jefferson medical student, was awarded 1st prize at the Jefferson Alpha-Omega-Alpha medical student research symposium on December 3, 2009. David spent last summer in the lab investigating the "Combination of Mammalian Target of Rapamycin Inhibition and Ionizing Radiation in Treatment of Prostate Cancer". David was jointly mentored by Karen Knudsen in Cancer Biology and the Department of Radiation Oncology.
