Congratulations to Maria Werner-Wasik, M.D., professor in the department of Radiation Oncology, and Radiation Oncology Residency Program Director who was nominated as a finalist for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's Parker J. Palmer "Courage to Teach" Award for Program Director Excellence.

This award is limited to only ten recipients a year, and Jefferson's Radiation Oncology department takes great pride in the fact that from a potential pool of 8,814 program directors in the nation, Dr. Werner-Wasik is part of an elite group of extremely talented and highly recommended individuals
that were brought to ACGME's attention.
