Assistant Professor Timothy Showalter, MD received pilot project funding through the American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant in early 2011. Dr. Showalter's project, "Comparative Analysis of Adjuvant versus Salvage Radiation Therapy for Prostate Cancer: Utilization and Outcomes after Prostatectomy" is a cutting edge proposal that will evaluate thousands of patients in the United States who have advanced prostate cancer. Dr. Showalter is leading Jefferson Radiation Oncology's comparative effectiveness research.
