Administration of the Program
The Graduate Studies Committee of the Department of Physiology oversees the program. The current members of the Committee include Drs. Rosario Scalia (Chairperson), Marilyn J. Woolkalis and Thomas M. Butler, who is Principal Investigator on the Training Grant.
The Committee on Graduate Studies:
- interviews and selects students for the program;
- advises first year students;
- coordinates educational activities (i.e., comprehensive examinations, presentations of research proposals, final defense of theses), and;
- advises the faculty on issues concerning graduate education.
