Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship

Fellows of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Shoulder and Elbow Service will gain extensive surgical experience from an extremely busy and varied surgical schedule.  All surgeries are performed at the Jefferson Shoulder and Elbow Center at Methodist Hospital, a specialized center with a designated, state of the art surgical suite and patient care unit.

Our service completes approximately 1400 shoulder and elbow cases per year, with a varied array of arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures. Included in this total are over 200 shoulder arthroplasties, 200 arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, 250 arthroscopic labral procedures, and countless other open and arthroscopic surgeries.  Approximately 15% of the procedures are on the elbow.

A weekly shoulder and elbow conference is held to enhance fellow education. Fellows will have endless opportunities for writing and research.
