Medical Students

The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers the medical student clerkship in the third year. Students rotate through obstetrics, gynecology, subspecialty services and ambulatory clinic. Details of the rotation can be found on under courses on Pulse.

The department also has four fourthyear electives: Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology and Inpatient and Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine. These electives are open to students from any US medical school. An Outpatient subinternship in OB/Gyn is offered which fulfills the Jefferson outpatient requirement.

Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty serve as mentors for students in the first and second years. Students are welcome to shadow faculty in the clinical setting. The JeffMoms program allows 1st year students to participate in prenatal and delivery care of our patients.
