The Hematology section of the Foundations of Clinical Medicine course for second year Jefferson medical students has been noted for its use of team teaching with Pathology and Pharmacology. The lectures and small groups involve all of the Divisional faculty, and excellent interaction with the members of the Hematologic Malignancies section of the joint J University Physicians Hematology/Medical Oncology practice. In addition, Divisional faculty participate actively in resident education and education of 3rd and 4th year medical students via didactic lectures for Medicine residents and through teaching on Hematology electives.
