Palliative Care Research Team

MISSION

To harmonize care for patients with incomprehensible issues in a patient centric fashion.

GOALS

To provide comprehensive, coordinated, patient centered care to patients facing compound health issues, including debilitated elderly and working age adults with disabilities.
To conduct research to identify ways to improve hospital care for this population
To educate the students and learners about the fundamentals of palliative care, its role in the current health system, and the dynamics of an interdisciplinary team.

RESEARCH THEMES/ INTERESTS

Pain management, Symptom management in advanced illness, End of life decisions, Multidisciplinary team approach, Prognosis and Bereavement.
