Christine A. Arenson, MD
Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Geriatrics, Division of Family Medicine
Dr. Arenson graduated from the University of Delaware in 1986, and Jefferson Medical College in 1990. She completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she was chief resident in 1993. Post-residency, Dr. Arenson completed a two-year geriatric fellowship at Jefferson. Her clinical, academic and research concentrations continue to be in the area of geriatric medicine.
Lauren Collins, MD
Instructor
Dr. Collins graduated from the Princeton University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in History and from Jefferson Medical College in 2002. She completed her residency training in family medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she served as chief resident in 2005. Dr. Collins remained at Jefferson after residency to complete a two-year fellowship in geriatrics. Her academic interests include geriatrics, undergraduate medical education, and patient-physician communication.
Christopher Haines, MD
Instructor
Dr. Haines graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in European History and from Villanova University in 1993 with a master’s degree in European Intellectual History. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1999 and completed a residency in family medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2002. Dr. Haines remained at Jefferson after residency to complete a fellowship in geriatrics. Dr. Haines is the Director of the Inpatient Service of the Department of Family Medicine, and his main clinical interest lies in inpatient and acute care.
Christine Hsieh, MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Hsieh earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her family medicine training and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She coordinates the geriatric curriculum for the residents. In addition to patient care at Jefferson, she also provides medical services at Liberty Court Subacute Facility.
Susan M. Parks, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor and Director, Geriatric Fellowship Program
Dr. Parks' undergraduate degree is from Ursinus College and medical degree is from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. She did her residency and geriatrics fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Parks is the Director of the Geriatric Fellowship Program and Medical Director at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. Her special interest areas within geriatrics include long-term care, end of life care and dementia caregiving.
Barbara Reville, CRNP
Assistant Director, Palliative Care Service
Ms. Reville earned a bachelor degree in nursing at the University of Vermont. She completed a masters degree in oncology nursing at the University of California, San Francisco. At the University of Pennsylvania, she completed both an Oncology Nurse Practitioner certificate and a teaching certificate. Her interests include oncology, palliative care, medical and nursing education.
Brooke Salzman, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Salzman earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. She completed her residency in family medicine and fellowship in geriatric medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In addition to patient care at Jefferson, she also provides medical services at Chandler Hall.
Robert Smith, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Smith graduated from Villanova University and received his medical degree from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is Medical Director and lead physician at Cathedral Village Continuing Care Retirement Community and is Medical Director at Fairview Care Center of Bethlehem Pike. In addition, he serves on the Quality Council for the Jefferson Health System and coordinates the educational program for the JHS Consortium of Medical Directors in Long Term Care.
