Admissions Requirements
Jefferson's Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program will begin in fall 2008. Prospective students may now begin applying for the PharmD program. Applicants for the PharmD program at the Jefferson School of Pharmacy must complete at least two years of pre-pharmacy coursework at an accredited institution.
There are two steps to apply.
- Apply to PharmCAS and submit required materials.
- Complete an online application for admission through PharmCAS at www.pharmcas.org
- Send PCAT scores to PharmCAS using code 104
- Deadline: March 2, 2009
- All prospective students who complete the PharmCAS application for the Jefferson School of Pharmacy are also required to complete a supplemental Jefferson application. The Jefferson Department of Admissions will send you an email with a link to our online application along with a logon id once we have downloaded your pharmacy application from PharmCAS.
Jefferson will send you a second email with a PIN to access the supplemental application.

Prerequisites
To be considered for admission, it is desirable that the applicant have
a cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale and have obtained a score at or above the 70th percentile in each subtest of the PCAT as well as in the composite score. In addition, it is desirable that the applicant have achieved scores of 3 or greater on the writing subtest.
Four(4)semesters (8 quarters) of college coursework and all prerequisite courses must be successfully completed prior to matriculation. Course grades lower than a C will not be accepted. All science and math courses must be completed within 5 years of admission to Jefferson. All science courses must include both lecture and lab.
