Plan A College Education (PACE) is an advanced admission program for high school students who are committed to a career in nursing. PACE lets you apply for admission to Jefferson College of Health Professions (JCHP) during your senior year of high school. If you're accepted, admission is guaranteed for your junior year in college provided you complete all prerequisite courses and maintain the appropriate grade point average.

JCHP is an upper division college, which means that you will begin studies here during your junior year in college after completing prerequisite coursework at another accredited college or university. PACE students will enter into the Traditional Prelicensure BSN program. This is a 2-year, full-time program that starts only in the fall. Your schedule will consist of nursing courses, laboratory work and clinical rotations.

Danielle Gianfrancesco, BA, serves as the Assistant Director of Admissions for the PACE and Prelicensure BSN program at JCHP. Danielle will be happy to meet for academic counseling sessions with interested students and answer how the admission process works for PACE. If you are accepted into the PACE program, you will be invited back to selected events such as PACE Picnic and PACE Advising Day prior to your enrollment at JCHP. Please feel free to contact Danielle at 215-503-8890 or by e-mail Danielle.Gianfrancesco@jefferson.edu for further information on the admission process for PACE.

Kathleen Czekanski, PhD, RN serves as the faculty advisor for the program in the School of Nursing. Please feel free to contact Dr. Czekanski at 215-503-8318 or by e-mail at Kathleen.Czekanski@jefferson.edu for specific questions about the nursing curriculum or to schedule a Shadow Day with current students in the spring prior to enrollment.

"The PACE program allowed me to have the confidence of knowing where I would end up and the chance to experience an additional college in the process. The faculty and staff at Jefferson kept in contact with me through my first two years and were so helpful when I ran into "snags" with my courses. They really want us to succeed here at Jefferson and will listen to your questions and concerns no matter how little you think they are." - Erin Hartman, RN, Class of 2006
