JCHP Celebrates Allied Health Professions Week
November 8-12, 2004
Good news for JCHP students: the healthcare industry is predicted to
add nearly 3.5 million jobs between 2002 and 2012, and a large majority
of these new jobs will be in nursing and the allied health professions.
Health care is already the largest industry in the United States with
five million people working in 80 allied health professions throughout
the country.
To honor the current and future healthcare workers in our midst, JCHP
celebrates Allied Health Professions Week November 8-12 with a variety
of activities. Attend each event and be sure to enter the daily raffle.
Monday features a Student Snack Break, sponsored by the JCHP
Alumni Association and Career Development Center. Between noon and 2,
visit the 18 th floor of the Edison building for soft pretzels and sodas.
Enjoy Lunch with the President on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.
Join Dr. Barchi on the 18 th floor of the Edison building for a hoagie
and a chat. Don't miss this opportunity to visit with the university
president. And be sure to enter today's raffle for 76ers tickets!
JCHP students and faculty promote the Allied Health Professions at
Market East train station on Wednesday. During the busy commuting
hours, students and faculty will join the admissions and marketing
staff to hand out granola bars, health tips, and information about
JCHP.
Where would we be without our excellent faculty and staff? On Thursday
it's time to celebrate them at the Faculty and Staff Appreciation
Day . All JCHP faculty and staff will receive a ticket entitling
them to coffee and cookies between 2:30 and 4 on the 18 th floor.
Finally, we end the week with Student Appreciation Day on Friday.
Be sure to stop in the lobby in the morning to pick up a special gift.
