Jefferson School of Pharmacy Dean Finley Appointed to Christiana Care Board’s
Performance Improvement Committee
Rebecca S. Finley, PharmD, MS, dean, Jefferson School of Pharmacy, was appointed to Christiana Care’s Performance Improvement Committee of the Board at the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors on November 18, 2009.
"We are grateful for Dr. Finley's willingness to serve," said Nancy W. Snyder, MS, RN, Chairperson of the Performance Improvement Committee. "Her participation will be an important component of the performance improvement process."
Thomas Jefferson University and the Christiana Care Health System are a part of the Delaware Health Sciences Alliance, which also includes the University of Delaware and Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children/Nemours. These four major institutions have aligned their resources and efforts to create a unique, broad-based alliance which focuses on establishing innovative collaboration among experts in medical practice, health economics and policy, population sciences, public health, biomedical sciences and engineering.
Alliance partners have successfully collaborated in over 100 areas, one of which is the agreement between Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Delaware that allows students to complete their PharmD degree by spending three years at the University of Delaware and four additional years at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Finley’s appointment to the Christiana Care Performance Improvement Committee of the Board is just one more example of the commitment between partner institutions.
