Meet Your RAs

Lisa is the direct supervisor of our twelve RAs.  In addition to leading the Residence Life team, she is a professional live-in staff member.  Lisa obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania after attending Eastern University (which is located about 30 min from Center City). As a PA natire, Lisa is a great resource for on and off campus fun! Lisa is available in the Housing Office (Orlowitz 103), M-F, 9 -5 pm.

Martin Fifth Floor RA:

Lorater (nickname, Phabreeze) hails from Cameroon.  He is a 2nd year Pharmacy student who enjoys playing soccer, dancing, going to the beach, travelling, listening to music, and watching the National Geographic Channel.  He is a man of many talents who speaks Limbum, Pidgin English, and French. 

Alexandra, who usually goes by the name Allie, is a second year Nursing student. She enjoys reading, watching movies, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.  Allie is always up for meeting new people and connecting with on campus residents.  She currently resides in the Orlowitz Residence but previously lived in the Martin Residence on the fourth floor (and loved it).  Say hi to Allie when you arrive to campus!

Martin Third Floor RA:
Tim recently joined the RA staff and is excited to create a balanced academic and social atmosphere on the third floor of Martin!  He will be a second year Physical Therapy student very interested in Orthopedics.  Other than school, he enjoys following all of the Philadelphia sports teams, playing fantasy sports, playing basketball at the rec center, landscaping, and pursuing business opportunities.  He is looking forward to meeting all of you and contributing to the helpful atmosphere at Jefferson!

Gwendolyne is 4th year JMC student.  She currently lives in Orlowitz, but has also lived in Martin Residence Hall. She is interested in primary care medicine.  She hails from New York, and loves to meet new people from different cultures. Additionally, she knows how to advise on tasty vegetarian options in the area!  Take some time to meet Gwendolyne. 

Martin Fourth Floor RA:
Also known as “Bieber” not because she is a Justin Bieber fan but because she acquired the nickname from her family. Hasiba is a Pharmacy student and will be graduating this spring.  She is known for her innovative programming ideas including painting pottery and card making. 

Martin Second Floor RA:

Karent is a Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences student studying Molecular Biology with plans to enter medical school following graduation.  Ultimately, she would like to be a cardiac surgeon.  Karen can often be found sporting walking shoes as she loves to walk everywhere and welcomes you to join her on an adventure. 

Martin Sixth Floor RA:

Jordan is a second year Medical College student and a first year RA here at Jefferson. He has no idea what specialty he wants to go into yet, but believes that his last name has destined him to go into Pulmonology!  He love sports and can usually be found watching whatever sport is in season. His favorite sport is football.  He also plays tennis frequently, enjoys distance running, and plans to go skydiving at some point down the road! 

Jonathan has lived in Athens, Ohio, New York City, and his most favorite place; Brazil.  He spent his youth simultaneously training to become a great soccer player, fluent Portuguese speaker, and Super Nintendo high scorer.  JT loves to meet people so take some time and introduce yourself. 

Martin 8th Floor RA

Patricia hails from Lagos, Nigeria and is a second year Medical College student. She loves music and can play three instruments. She also loves hanging out with people and is a big advocate of study breaks. Patricia finds Philadelphia and Center City to be especially fun because of frozen yogurt, interesting parks to explore, and Penn's Landing (for the calming water and scenery). She also loves to watch anime (Japanese animations) as a way to goof off and chill. Join her on your next study break.

Joel is our born, raised and proud to be Canadian RA.  He enjoys hockey, baseball, football, and business.  He loves brownies and dislikes lightning. He is a Medical College fourth year with plans to enter Pediatrics. 

Jon is a 4th year Medical College student.  He grew up in Lindon, Utah, attended Pomona College in Southern California where he majored in Applied Mathematics, with minors in Asian Studies and Economics.  During his time at Pomona, he spent five months living in Japan on a study abroad program.  Jon is active in athletics, and played 2 years of varsity baseball at Pomona.  He also played club lacrosse, and participated in intramural basketball, softball, and innertube water polo. Jon's interests include a variety of sports, music, movies, and he has traveled to over 20 different countries.  Jon is a third year RA and our team’s senior RA this year.  Say a big hello to Jon.

Martin Seventh Floor RA (who currently resides on the sixth floor since the seventh floor is under renovations).

Malinda is a second year RA and a third year JMC student.  She was a competitive ballroom dancer while studying science at Penn State University.  Her favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip, and she wishes she had more time to go hiking outdoors.  She is also a big fan of the show Dr. Who (don’t know about it, ask her).  Malinda looks forward to meeting all of you!
