The Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Jefferson
Medical College offers opportunities for training towards eligibility
for the American Board of Dermatology. Currently, four highly qualified
applicants are selected for the first year position, based on scholarly
and academic attributes.
The program is designed to provide the residents, during their three
year stay at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and affiliated
institutions, with comprehensive and quality training in varied
aspects of dermatology. The areas covered include clinical dermatology,
cutaneous surgery (including Mohs micrographic surgery and laser
surgery), dermatopathology, clinical pharmacology, cutaneous immunology,
oncology, pediatric dermatology and cutaneous biology. The residents
are encouraged to participate in Departmental research activities
concentrating on molecular and cellular biology as they relate to
cutaneous diseases.

We participate in the
National Residency Match Program
(NRMP) and
Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All applications
for the residency program must be processed through ERAS. The website
