The Otolaryngology residency program at Jefferson consists of five years of progressive clinical and surgical training in all aspects of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. This includes head and neck oncology, facial plastics and reconstructive surgery (including complex microvascular free flap reconstructions), otology, rhinology, laryngology, pediatric otolaryngology, bronchoesophagology, skull-base surgery, sleep surgery and allergy. The Otolaryngologic training is carried out under the supervision of our large, diverse and dedicated faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as well as the Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children, where our residents spend 6 months of their training during the PGY2 and PGY4 years. The residency program has the full approval of the Residency Review Committee, and has recently expanded to accept and train five residents a year.
