Animal Use & Care Guidelines
These Institutional Guidelines are prepared to provide information on the humane care and use of animals used in research. We encourage you to use the guidelines to answer questions you may have on policies, procedures and appropriate animal research methods. Additional information is available from the professional and administrative staff in the Office of Animal Resources. Education and training courses and other resources are available at Thomas Jefferson University to supplement the information in this book. The objectives of these Guidelines are to insure humane care of the laboratory animals under our care, compliance with laws and regulations and the conduct of good science.
