The use of animals in research is a highly regulated activity.  Here at Thomas Jefferson University, the Office of Animal Resources and the the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) assist the researchers with the tasks necessary to be successful in initiating and conducting animal research. 

Below is a list of activities handled by each of the two offices:

  • Review all protocols for approval
  • Process all animal use protocol paperwork
  • Maintains training records on P.I.’s and Technicians related to each species
  • Assist researchers with meeting regulatory requirements
